Donation Policy
At Saras Sarathi Trust, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability in our donation process. This Donation Policy explains how donations are accepted, processed, utilized, and acknowledged. It is intended to inform our donors, supporters, and the public about our values and procedures regarding financial contributions.
1. Purpose of Donations
All donations collected by Saras Sarathi Trust are used exclusively for charitable causes in alignment with our trust’s objectives, including:
Providing educational support to underprivileged children
Offering free medical care and aid to the poor and needy
Supporting families of deceased or distressed individuals
Running social awareness, self-defence, and community welfare programs
Conducting animal welfare, anti-addiction, and legal aid drives
Organizing memorial or cultural support events in alignment with our values
2. Modes of Accepting Donations
We accept donations through the following secure and verified channels:
Online Payment Gateway (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI)
Bank Transfer (NEFT / IMPS / RTGS)
UPI Payments (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.)
Cash or Cheque (subject to receipt issuance)
Recurring Donations (Monthly / Quarterly / Annually via standing instruction)
A donation receipt is issued for every transaction made through any of the above methods.
3. Donation Receipt & 80G Tax Exemption
Donors will receive an official donation receipt via email or in print, usually within 3–7 working days.
Donations made to Saras Sarathi Trust are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (subject to compliance).
To receive a valid 80G certificate, donors must provide:
Full Name
PAN Number
Email ID
Postal Address
4. Donor Information & Privacy
We collect only necessary personal details to process donations and issue receipts.
Donor data is treated with strict confidentiality and is never sold, rented, or misused.

5. Refund and Cancellation
Donations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
In cases of accidental duplicate payments or technical errors, donors may request a refund within 7 days of the transaction.

6. Donor Rights
As a valued donor, you have the right to:
Know how your donation is being used
Receive timely receipts and clear communication
Ask questions and get transparent answers
Choose to remain anonymous, if you wish

7. Frequency of Giving
We welcome various forms of support:
One-time donations
Monthly or recurring contributions
Memorial donations (in memory of a loved one)
Corporate or CSR donations
In-kind donations (books, food, medicines, clothes, etc.)

8. Legal Compliance
All donations are accepted in accordance with Indian financial laws and regulations.
At present, foreign contributions are not accepted, unless routed through an FCRA-registered channel (subject to future eligibility).
Funds are regularly monitored and audited to prevent misuse or misallocation.
